I know this clock thing is pretty small in terms of everything overall but it is driving me nuts. Another possibility is that the clock or radio in your car is faulty. You said that it is a plug and play unit, where is it it plugged into? On older Hondas they have a fuse for the clock, it's usually 10A. Dealer is going to tell you to remove the HID kit and that's what causing it most likely (probably without bothering to test it too thoroughly.)
