I wonder if it's not watered down latex paint. The Plaster Magic guys warn that if you don't use the "conditioner" first then the adhesive might mostly adhere to dust and then end up de-laminating in a few years.Įdit actually, the conditioner is very white and smells like latex paint. But it would probably be good to squirt some isopropyl back there to clean out the dust. The loctite stuff sounds like a good adhesive. They want you to leave the wall clamped for 24-48 hours, so looking through the acrylic caulk and acrylic based adhesives at the hardware store for something with a long cure time should give a good idea of which product they're labeling. Plaster Magic has saftey sheets and I think the conditioner is mostly isopropyl alcohol. Remove screws and washers after a minimum of 24 hours.I'm sure plastic magic is just 2 white labeled products anyway. Step four: Clamp the plaster to within 3/16″ of the lath.
